Fitness Equipment Trail At Rec Park Now Open

On Tuesday November 1, 2016 Lubrizol, the City of Painesville & PCLS celebrated the ribbon cutting of the five new  exercise stations down at Kiwanis Rec Park.

To represent PCLS, Superintendent John Shepard, Treasurer Sherri Samac, Board of Education member Deb Remington, Director of Business & Personnel Jim Haffa and Athletic Director Seth Hartmann attended the event.

Painesville Schools Superintendent John Shepard said the district is honored to partner with Lubrizol and the city of Painesville to offer residents a planned fitness trail.

“Painesville Schools’ participation with our community partners hopes to encourage all citizens to get out and get fit,” Shepard said. “The school district offers a wellness program funded by our health care consortium. It did not involve any taxpayer dollars; all money was generated from insurance incentives for wellness programming. Our staff is encouraged to participate in fitness and healthy living options.”
