American Education Week Is Celebrated This Week!

American Education Week is celebrated November 13 through November 17 this year. The theme "Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility" reflects the National Education Association's vision of calling upon all Americans to do their part in making public schools great for every child so that they can grow and achieve in the 21st century.

The Painesville City Local Schools District employs almost 500 full and part-time staff to serve ALL students in the best educational setting offered in the state. PCLS staff consists of highly trained administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, nutritional services, transportation, maintenance and custodial services, and many other support personnel.

Each member of the PCLS team does their best to make PCLS a great place to learn!

We hope you'll take some time to thank the many citizens of Painesville City Local Schools who have taken on the opportunity, and yes, the challenges of working as educators.

The video below highlights the Education Support Professionals that students see every day, those who make a difference in their lives, both in and out of the classroom.
