School Board Names Finalists for New Superintendent
The Painesville City School Board has named three finalists in its search for their next district superintendent. The Board is inviting the community and staff to meet the finalists and participate in a “meet-and-greet” Question and Answer session. The three applicants are:
Dr. Robert Moore II - Richmond Heights School District
Mr. Van McWreath - Painesville City Local School District
Mr. John T. Shepard - Northridge School District
The finalists were selected from a pool of 25+ applicants and will be introduced in a forum to be held this Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Heritage Middle School (135 Cedarbrook Drive, Painesville).
The forum will be divided into three 45 minute time slots. The public and staff will have an opportunity to ask each finalist questions and hear their vision for the school district. Comment cards will be available to give feedback to the Board as they consider their selection of the next district superintendent.
Since February, the Board has engaged the public in several community and staff forums related to the superintendent search. Additionally, the Board received responses to its superintendent search online survey. The data and comments have been reviewed and used in the selection process. The Board is expected to announce the new superintendent before May 1st.
