The Painesville City Local Schools, one of the largest employers in the City of Painesville, has a current enrollment of 3044 students and employs approximately 420 administrators, teachers and support staff to serve the widely diverse student population.
 
Currently, the district is comprised of one high school, one middle school and three elementary schools that serve the educational needs of the approximately 19,000 people that live within the 7.75 square miles of the Painesville City community.

CITY OF PAINESVILLE
The City of Painesville is located in northeast Ohio, just 2 miles south of Lake Erie’s shoreline and twenty-five miles east of Cleveland. Serving as the Lake County Seat, the 7.75 square mile urban community is made up of a highly diverse population of about a 19,564 people. The richness of the City’s diversity is strengthened by the District’s central role in educating these students and celebrating their academic, cultural, athletic and artistic range of talents in the schools.
