The Student Services Department serves approximately 600 students who have been identified as having disabilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA 2004.) Services are provided in accordance with Ohio’s Operating Standards for Children with Disabilities and the Special Education Model Policies and Procedures.
Children who have been diagnosed or identified as having a disability and who, through a multi-factored evaluation, qualify for services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA 2004) will be served under the requirements of the Ohio Department of Education for compliance with the Operating Standards for Ohio Educational Agencies serving Children with Disabilities, 2008.
The department includes one student services director, one special education supervisor, psychologists, special education intervention specialists (teachers), speech pathologists, paraprofessionals, occupational therapists, physical therapist and orientation mobility services.
