Greetings, Elm Street Community--and Happy New Year, 2023!
Although the turning of the calendar is never unforeseen, year after year, it is still a bit shocking to say that we have already completed HALF of the school year. Milestones such as these always ask us to reflect, and when you do I hope you will take heart and feel glad.
Life within the school carries on rather like life outside the school: What sometimes feels like unrelenting sadness eventually gives way to joy, frustrating despair gives way to hope, and disappointing failure gives way to success. …all of these because we believe.
We believe in showing our “PRIDE.”
P - Perseverance: We NEVER quit when things get tough.
R - Respect: We treat others the way we want to be treated.
I - Integrity: We are honest and we do the right thing.
D - Determination: We set goals, make plans, and put in the work.
E - Empathy: We seek to understand the feelings of others.

With these things in mind, let us continue our journey together as we ensure a safe and happy learning environment where each of us is able to achieve our greatest potential.

Saludos, comunidad de Elm Street, ¡y feliz año nuevo!
Aunque el cambio de calendario nunca es imprevisto, año tras año, todavía es un poco impactante decir que ya hemos completado la MITAD del año escolar. Hitos como estos siempre nos piden que reflexionemos, y cuando lo haga, espero que se anime y se sienta feliz.
La vida dentro de la escuela continúa como la vida fuera de la escuela: lo que a veces se siente como una tristeza implacable finalmente da paso a la alegría, la desesperación frustrante da paso a la esperanza y el fracaso decepcionante da paso al éxito. …todo esto porque creemos.
Creemos en mostrar nuestro orgullo,“PRIDE”.
