What is a levy renewal?
A levy renewal is the continuation of a levy already approved by the voters but will expire. A renewal DOES NOT INCREASE TAXES.
Why do we need to renew the operating levy?
The approved five (5) year levy will expire at the end of 2018 year. The money from the operating levy is used for the daily operation of our schools. This includes the purchase of textbooks, curriculum materials, instructional technology, utilities, staff salaries and other day-to day operating expenses.
How much will my taxes increase?
A renewal is not an additional tax, your property taxes WILL NOT increase.
How much tax revenue will the levy produce annually?
The estimated property tax revenue that will be produced by the stated millage, assuming the tax valuation of the subdivision remains constant throughout the life of the levy, is calculated to be $979,575.
How much will this levy renewal cost?
The cost of a $100,000 market value home is $13.71 per month.
