The Painesville City Local School District Transportation System includes a fleet of 25 buses and vans. All buses passed the State Highway Patrol’s annual inspection, again this year. Most buses are equipped with cameras to protect the staff, students and the district’s investments.

Daily bus runs include:

  • 10 middle school runs
  • 16 elementary school runs
  • 14 private school, Auburn and special needs runs

This adds up to approximately of 1,090 miles traveled every school day. These buses also make field trip and athletic trip runs on a regular basis. The total distance covered each school year transporting students to and from school and on athletic and field trips comes to approximately 214,000 miles.
