The Painesville City Local Schools, one of the largest employers in the City of Painesville, has a current enrollment of about 2600 students and employs approximately 400 administrators, teachers and support staff to serve the widely diverse student population.
Currently, the district is comprised of one high school, one middle school and three elementary schools that serve the educational needs of the approximately 19,000 people that live within the 7.75 square miles of the Painesville City community.
