In front of a captive audience at this year's Spring Choir Concert, The Distinguished Red Raider Patron Award was presented in honor of the outstanding contributions made to the music and drama program by the Smith Family. For the last ten years Lynn and Sheila Smith have supported the music and drama departments through their generous financial donations. During that time, Mrs. Smith was also an advocate of the Harvey fine arts department and reached out to many of her friends and family members to contribute as well. They can be seen in attendance at most Harvey High School concerts, plays, and musicals. In addition to their usual generous support, this year they donated a 9 foot Baldwin Concert Grand Piano valued at nearly $35,000 to the music department of Harvey High School. This beautiful instrument will be used for many years to come. We are blessed to be supported by such a generous couple who value the arts and the difference that the arts can make in a young person’s life. Thank you for your overwhelming generosity and support.
